This Moroccan Vintage Tamegroute Large Ceramic Vase would make the perfect addition to any dining table.

This piece was created in the region of Tamegroute, South Morocco, just above the immense Sahara Desert. In the Berber language, Tamegroute means ‘last place before the desert’ and was the last stop for the caravans who travelled across the desert on camels. Within the town there are seven ovens belonging to seven pottery families – with each relative passing the art form down to the next generation.

Artisans form their rounded shape by hand, before using a unique glaze that gives them their mid-toned green hue. Due to their handmade nature, no two pieces are exactly the same.

  • Hand made by artisans
  • Medium size : 25 cm (H) x 17-19 cm (W)
  • Each one is unique

Tamegroute pottery is a natural, rustic vintage product which will contain some minor imperfections such as small baking marks or fine lines which in our opinion adds to the charm of these one-of-a-kind ceramics.
